Lindsay Laufik, Secretary
Since 2008, Lindsay has been an Intervention Specialist at Mentor High School in the Structured Language (Autism) classroom. She graduated from Mercyhurst College in 2007 with degrees in Early Childhood and Special Education (K-12). She then received her Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Literacy Endorsement from Ashland University in 2011. Lindsay is also trained in the TEACCH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication Handicapped Children) method which she uses in her classroom.
Lindsay had the pleasure of going on a Share A Vision sponsored trip to Disneyland with 5 of her students and their families in the Spring of 2011. The trip was very rewarding as she worked closely with the families and Share A Vision board to prepare for an amazing trip. Over the past 3 years she has also been fortunate to receive grants from Share A Vision to provide recreational and leisure activities to her students. She is excited to now be part of the Share A Vision board so that she can offer these opportunities to other teachers and families.
